ArcaSpace and General Astronautics Flight Test and Development Centre

COSMOBAZA (En: The COSMOBASE) is located in the Commune of Stoenești, at 200km West of Bucharest, and 26km West of Râmnicu Vâlcea, the Vâlcea County's capital.

The work on the facility debuted in 2013 when ArcaSpace built there a 80tf rocket engine test stand. In the years that followed, the facility grew to include a Dynamic Test Stand and various other test equipment.

In 2022 the facility received the COSMOBAZA name.

Alongside the current operational equipment, ArcaSpace brought to the facility historical hardware that was flown by the company in the past.

Among this type of hardware, the public can see the Demonstrator 2B replica, the Helen and Stabilo suborbital rockets, the EcoRocket, ExoMars hardware, military rockets, the AirStrato drone, rocket engines, etc.

Although the facility isn't regularly open to the public, the vast majority of the hardware can be seen from outside the facility.

ArcaSpace organized Open House events at COSMOBAZA and the facility is visited by thousand of people from across Europe each year, who enthusiastically share photos and their impressions about the facility on social media.

COSMOBAZA's location can be easily found on Google Maps
